Cadres

Executive and Manager

A cadre is a group of professionals who come together to discuss current issues within the I/DD field. There are currently three Cadres that meet on a quarterly basis:
  • Executive Cadre
  • Northern Managers Cadre
  • Southern Managers Cadre
The Executive Cadre consists of Executive Leaders who collaborate regarding current trends, share ideas and share successes.  The purpose of the Managers' Cadres is to cultivate future leaders in the I/DD field, provide professional development opportunities and expand networking options for managers. No matter what your position might be in your agency, all the Cadres enjoy the same benefits shown above with their peers.

Contact us if you have questions, or would like to add a Cadre module to your membership.

Benefits include:

  • Networking with other ORA members, sharing common experiences
  • Resource and idea sharing (electronic binder on ORA website)
  • Professional development
  • Updates/discussion on current policy and system changes
  • Problem solving real time concerns, scenarios
  • Peer-to-peer mentoring
  • Quarterly newsletter
  • The rate of $300 per agency annually pays for your organization's participation in the Cadres - both Executive and Manager levels - for one price. The number of people you send from your organization is limitless, but greater consistency in who participates from your agency will enhance the experience and solidify those networking bonds.
