Jobs for People with Disabilities

Oregon is an Employment First state. Oregonians believe that everyone, regardless of their disability, can work when given the appropriate support and accommodations.

If you have a disability, the resources below can help lead you to a job. Whether it's your first work experience or the next step in your career, we want to help you achieve your dreams.

Vocational Rehabilitation

For most people with a work-related disability, Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) is the first place they should seek assistance. OVR supports all types of disabilities. You can get training and coaching, customized support, and possibly be matched to your next job.

Oregon Forward

Oregon Forward is an Oregon program that gives preferential hiring to workers with disabilities. Jobs are available throughout the state in a variety of fields and for people with a wide variety of career goals. Coming Soon: Oregon Forward companies will soon be able to post their jobs at oregonresource.org.

Employment Outcomes System

Job seekers who have an intellectual or developmental disability (IDD) are encouraged to visit the Employment Outcomes System website (EOS). Here job seekers can get help choosing an employment support provider and learn how to access services.

Benefits Counseling

If you receive Medicaid or other state or federal benefits such as SNAP or TANF, the Work Incentives Network offers free benefits counseling to workers with disabilities. As you earn more money, they can help you protect the benefits you need to thrive in your community.
