The Information We Collect:

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Oregon Resource Association website. On some pages, individual members can enter member data, make requests, register to receive materials or participate in events, and more. The types of personal information collected at these pages are:

On some pages, administrative-level users can submit and access information about other people. For example, if they are editing member data, they will need to submit the member's address. In this circumstance, the types of personal information collected are:

Text Messaging

  1. The vast majority of text messages will go to event attendees to help them get the most out of their event experience, know where to go, when to eat, etc.. For example: “Our keynote presentation begins in 10 minutes. Please make your way to the ballroom.” In rare circumstances, we may also use text for community organizing. 
  2. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the short code. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

  4. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
  5. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Event attendees, if they sign up for text updates, could receive 1-3 each day of the event. Community organizing texts will go out no more than a few times each year. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

How You Can Access or Correct Your Information:

You can access all your personally identifiable information that is collected online and maintain it via the Member’s Area. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.


The Way We Use Information:

In the Member's Area, you can sign up for newsletters, volunteer to participate in groups or activities, register for events, etc. We use this information to fine-tune our email communication to you. Our commitment is to only email you about the topics and activities in which you’ve expressed interest. By updating your information in the Member's Area, you can opt in or out of these communications at any time.

In the Member's Area, and sometimes when you register for an event, you may choose to receive broadcast texts. You may opt out of this method of communication at any time.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

We do not use any of your information for advertisers.
