This NADSP workshop will help prepare Frontline Supervisors to approach their vital role with ethics, competencies and a focus on leadership.
The Frontline Supervisor may face the most complex work in the human
services world, involving many points of interaction with many stakeholders. Whether
it’s families, direct support professionals, supervisors, state regulators, peers, or most
importantly, people supported – Frontline Supervisors confront a multitude of diverse
perspectives and conflicting motivations, on top of seemingly insurmountable
workplace challenges.
To deepen these difficulties, there is often inadequate training,
insufficient resources, or fragmented support to empower Frontline Supervisors, in
confronting the complexities of their job.
The trainers will use material from the NADSP Frontline Supervisor Curriculum to equip participants with tools necessary to become a leader AND a refreshed manager/supervisor.
