What is an Oregon Forward Contractor?An Oregon Forward Contractor (OFC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization that puts Oregonians with disabilities to work. It is a place of business and training; with equipment, class and meeting rooms, offices and other business necessities. Many OFCs have other business locations as well, such as a downtown office, bakery or mailroom.
Its programs are registered and reviewed on a regular basis by the Oregon Department of Administrative Services (DAS). |
What's the purpose of Oregon Forward?The mission of a OFC is to help people with disabilities achieve self-confidence and self-sufficiency by working in the community in which they live and becoming productive citizens. An OFC often has a variety of programs to help people with disabilities achieve maximum economic and personal independence through vocational development.

Who manages this program?The Oregon Department of Administrative Services (DAS) oversees the Oregon Forward program. DAS approves each QRF in Oregon and manages the list of those goods and services determined suitable for procurement. The Products and Services of Individuals with Disabilities Law requires Oregon Public Agencies to use their purchasing power for the public good by negotiating directly for purchases with Oregon Forward Contractors (OFCs).
